Update for Friday, April 3rd at 17:00
Currently 15 of the 61 patients in Efrat have recovered.
Since March 31 we have not been informed of any new cases in Efrat.
These figures are very gratifying, as they prove that the residents of Efrat have been adhering to the Ministry of Health's guidelines, maintaining social distance and reducing traffic in public areas. Working together as a community, we have stopped the spread of Corona in Efrat.
Although the data here is encouraging, the danger has not yet passed.
The sunny weather will make it difficult to stay inside on Shabbat, but we ask you to continue following instructions. Participating in a minyan is forbidden, and the public parks are closed.
We trust that good days will come, but for now we must wait at home and follow the guidelines.
Pesach is quickly approaching. This will be a difficult and onely time for some of the seniors in our community. Please be aware of your neighbors in need, and do what you can to help. If you know of any cases that require assistance, please let us know.
We will end by thanking the hundreds of volunteers and council workers who helped us this week, distributing cooked food, activity kits, food baskets, and doing good deeds throughout the neighborhoods. Thank you for spreading joy during this time.
We wish you all a quiet and healthy Shabbat, and a quick return to routine.
We will continue to update,
The Public Information Team
