Update for Monday, April 20th at 14:30
This evening, Yom HaShoah ceremonies will occur throughout the country.
This year, this important day will be observed in the shadow of the Coronavirus.
During this time we must maintain social distance, and many older residents have been self-isolating for a long time in order to maintain their health and their lives.
In Efrat here are approximately 862 residents over the age of 65, including 30 Holocaust survivors. We urge you to be thoughtful of your elderly neighbors, to look out for their safety, and to help them through this difficult time.
In order to comply with the Ministry of Health's instructions, the local Yom HaShoah ceremony will be posted today on the Matnas Facebook page and via YouTube at the link below:
Despite the encouraging data from the Ministry of Health, it is essential that we continue to adhere to the guidelines.
Avoid crowds, maintain personal hygiene, and keep a 2 meter distance between people.
Entrance to parks and public spaces is still not allowed.
Please note that the Israeli police are enforcing the guidelines. They are circulating throughout Efrat and issuing tickets.
We will continue to update,
