Update for Friday October 2nd at 16:00
Dear Residents,
The number of verified patients in Efrat currently stands at 64. Over the course of the day 8 residents were diagnosed, and 8 recovered.
Unlike other years, due to the closure guidelines, children and teens are not allowed to go out visiting sukkahs around the neighborhood. The tradition of Sukkah Hopping on the first night of Sukkot is a beautiful custom that has been embraced in Efrat for years, but unfortunately, this year we must take care of our health and celebrate only with our nuclear family.
We also want to emphasize that up to 20 people may pray together in open areas only. The 20 person maximum includes children. There should be no additional capsules.
Residents who have been tested and are awaiting results are asked to stay available during Shabbat/Chag. We ask that a cell phone be made available in each home so that we can forward messages if necessary.
If we demonstrate self-discipline and social responsibility we can prevent further infection.
Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom,
The Public Information Team
