Building a religious identity
Neve Shmuel strives to educate students to love Torah, fear God, commit to halacha, and search for meaning and inner connection to the world of Torah. Our students are encouraged to contribute to the community, and to be part of Israeli society.
Building a personal identity
Within the yeshiva there is a joy of learning, broadening horizons, and deep personal connection. The work in the yeshiva is characterized by personal relationships with staff, working hard to acquire Torah and wisdom, the development of unique curricula in Jewish and secular subjects, and strengthening the learning process with choice, curiosity and creativity. We strive to properly combine Torah and Talmud learning with general studies. We teach science and secular subjects at a high level, adapting lessons to the needs of each student. This leads to high achievements in the matriculation exams. In addition, some of our students partner in academic and technological projects that take place outside of school.
The Dorm School - a school for life, and personal and social maturation
The dorm is the center of educational and social activity in the yeshiva. In the evenings and on Shabbat, the dorm staff holds activities and personal conversations on a variety of relevant topics. Enrichment classes are offered during dorm hours, such as aerospace, debate, musical ensembles, gym, cooking, drama, and movement.
Years of growth, and teachers for life
Maturity - responsibility - partnership. The basis of the educational approach is to treat students as adults. And because they are adults, students can and should take responsibility for educational and social aspects of the yeshiva. This responsibility brings a sense of partnership, a sense that the yeshiva is a home, and that every student is an active participant in everything that happens in the yeshiva.
Our students love the yeshiva. They identify with its educational philosophy, and maintain meaningful contact with the educational staff even as adults. This is the most wonderful indication that our educational endeavors yield success.
The yeshiva has recently been ranked first by the Ministry of Education amongst schools of its kind in the country, and has won awards for its achievements in this field.
