Our youth are amazing! They volunteer and help out during emergencies and in regular times, strengthening the community of Efrat.
The Bnei Akiva Geffen branch, led by volunteer youth, is a center for youth activity.
Recently, there have been many cases of neglect and messiness in and around the Bnei Akiva branch  It has been used as an unsupervised hangout.
The branch staff responded positively to our requests to clean up.

Unfortunately, on Monday, the branch building and the synagogue were left open and in deplorable condition. The building was closed until a solution could be found that would ensure proper maintenance.

Yesterday, the parents' committee, the Council's director general, the deputy mayor, the mateh noar, representatives of Bnei Akiva, and youth representatives met until late in the evening.
During the discussion, the allegations were heard, and solutions were found that will be implemented in all branches of the youth movements in Efrat.

Today we went on a joint tour with the branch staff and parents in order to make decisions for the future.
The locks on the doors were repaired and replaced to prevent unauthorized entry.
A representative of the Shefa Department  documented the needs, and together with the youth movement we are now preparing to get quotes to repair the building.

The building will be throughly cleaned next week so that it can be
opened gradually during the following week. Shabbat activities will take place in the public areas.

We are pleased with the cooperation between the various factions, and we are sure that we will hear many more good things about the extensive activities of the Bnei Akiva Geffen branch.
