Efrat Medical System
The medical system in Efrat is one of the largest and most advanced medical systems in Israel. The vast majority of the medical team is made up of volunteers, both teenagers and adults. It includes first aid providers and emergency medical technicians with availability for emergency calls throughout Efrat and the Gush.
There are doctors with different specialties, midwives and people with different medical expertise from Israel and around the world. A community ambulance operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is run by the dedicated and professional team of volunteers. The Emergency Medical Center ("Machar") has advanced medical systems that provides routine medical services and provides services for all the kupot (clinics) in times of emergency. The volunteers are equipped with basic first aid equipment in their vehicles, in order to provide initial medical response until an ambulance arrive at the scene. The teams undergo annual training and further training for the medical teams, as well as exercises through civil and military emergency institutions.
The youth of Efrat are offered a high-quality first aid course every year, accompanied by Magen David Adom (MDA), and the residents enjoy professional lectures on various medical topics, as well as CPR and first aid training. Efrat's medical system is trained to respond to many different scenarios. They are also trained to provide medical care in emergency situations that prevent leaving Efrat, or in the event that a large and professional medical team is needed.
