The Ashe Chayil school is the winner of the National Education Award, and has received certificates of appreciation from the director of the Jerusalem district for values based social action and the promotion of education for arts and culture.
The school consists of 710 students studying in 35 classes, from 1st-8th grade.
Our school includes 12 special education classes and 3 special communication classes.
In grades 1-4, boys and girls study together.
5th grade is separated by gender, except for one mixed class.
6th grade is separated by gender, and our 7th and 8th grades are made up only of girls.
Each grade has 3-4 classes.
Our staff consists of approximately 140 staff members.
School VIsion:
Aseh Chayil, located in Efrat in Gush Etzion, draws its values and beliefs from the personalities of our forefathers and foremothers, and the modern pioneers of Israel.
The school educates its students in reverence for God, observance of mitzvot, and love of Torah, the Jewish people, and the land.
The school sees each student as unique, and works to provide a personal response to each student according to his needs and abilities. The school creates a learning environment that fosters curiosity and excellence in teaching and learning that encourages creativity and personal expression.
The school educates students in the values of tolerance, mutual respect,and acceptance of others, while creating a sense of belonging and communal responsibility.
We strive for our graduates to be involved, contributing leaders who make a difference in Israeli society.
School Beliefs:
Aseh Chayil educates children to have a reverence for God and love of the Torah with Derech Eretz.
We believe in educating children with love, consistency, and by setting personal examples.
We teach experiential Torah study that aims to deepen the observance of mitzvot.
- Collaborative Mishna Study- a special program for the study of Pirkei Avot in grades 1 and 2, using song, movement, and various activities, developed by Rabbi Pollack, the school's rabbi.
- Parshat HaShavua - 5th graders study the parsha alongside 2nd graders every week.
- Mashaghim - 4th graders learn about holidays with 1st graders.
- Bible Room - Suitable for 21st century teaching, this room combines arts and escape rooms! The room offers a variety of activities to deepen knowledge and identification with Bible stories from different perspectives.
- Beit Midrash Program - After school Torah enrichment classes for 5th-8th grades
- Special education classrooms - unique frameworks that provide solutions for students with unique needs. Special education classes and communication classes are integrated into the regular classrooms with a wide range of treatments.
- Amirim Program - provides a solution for gifted and outstanding students, offering enrichment beyond the regular curriculum. Classes are taught in Hebrew, mathematics, and science.
- Animal Corner - An animal area that aims to teach responsibility and offers a unique therapeutic framework.
- Excellence in mathematics for 1st and 2nd grades - Offers solutions for gifted and outstanding students.
- Therapeutic Garden - The school has an active therapeutic vegetable garden where children grow vegetables and herbs. The garden is used for experiential learning, research, and knowledge of plants.
- Volunteering - our students volunteer throughout the community, working with the elderly, as bus monitors, in the animal corner, in afternoon day care centers, etc.
- Life Skills Program - Expanding horizons through general studies.
- Science Room - a new learning space that facilitates group learning, research, and self directed learning. 6th graders participate in a Science and Research Fair.
- Computer integrated teaching - the school has two computer labs, a laptop cart, interactive whiteboards for the benefit of all students, and laptops for teachers that help them with remote learning.
- English Room - Learning English in an experiential and interesting way, students are divided according to their knowledge of the English language.
- Music Room - Students can learn flute and ukulele. They can learn to read music and join the school choir.
