Entry of Workers
Following the events of October 7, 2023, entry of Palestinian workers into Efrat was prohibited.
As of September 17, 2024, security forces have approved the entry of workers into Efrat for construction work only, subject to the following regulations:
1. **Entry Times**: Workers may enter through the Workers Gate in the Zayit neighborhood only between 06:30 and 07:00.
2. **Departure Times**: Workers must leave by 17:00; no extensions will be permitted.
3. **Age Requirements**: Workers must be over 25 years old if married, or over 30 years old if unmarried.
4. **Mobile Phones**: Workers are required to deposit their mobile phones with the head of the construction project.
5. **Vehicle Restrictions**: Palestinian vehicles are not allowed entry into Efrat for any reason.
6. **Work Area Security**: The work area will be enclosed by a fence with one locked entrance. An armed guard will be stationed at the entrance, and an additional armed guard will be assigned for every 5 workers.
**Application Process**:
1. **Request Submission**: Interested parties must submit a request to the Ravshatz by email at ravshatz2@efrat.muni.il. The request must include details of the construction project and contact information.
2. **Site Visit**: A site visit will be arranged to determine how the procedures will be implemented to the location and nature of the work.
3. **Approval**: Final approval will be granted after a tour with the army representative, who has the authority to approve or reject the request.
Residents who observe workers not complying with these procedures are asked to report immediately to the security hotline at 5436*.
