According to Regulation 13 of the Arrangements in the State Economy Law (Discount on Property Tax) 5733 - 1993, the Council may credit the owner of an unused and empty property at a discount of 100%.

The Council's decision of 17.07.2017 is to approve the exemption for up to two months only!

  • During the cumulative period, it is not possible to submit an application for an empty property for a period of less than thirty days.

  • During the exemption period the property must be empty of all objects.

  • Up-to-date interior photos from the property must be attached which prove that the property is empty or in the process of being renovated, an application without up-to-date photos will be denied.

  • The Council reserves the right to visit the property at its discretion at any time. If it is found that the property is not empty, the Council may cancel the exemption.

  • The resident must present a photocopy of the water meter and electricity meter before and after the exemption request, as part of his declaration of non-use of the property.

  • The discount will be given from the date of submission of the application to the Council, subject to the completion of the application form attached by the applicant, applications that are submitted retroactively will be denied.

  • An application without a signature will be denied.
